With his leg Robustiano Cesaro managed to avoid a goal in the 5thth minute, when Atlético Matorrales's Zeledon Bermund fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 6 minutes into the match, Atlético Matorrales's goal looked a bit too open when Laureano Bingen came free, but Igor Gipuzkoa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Churrascos FC booed when Atlético Matorrales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliciano Mitxaut didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12thth minute of the game Herminio Botello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético Matorrales's Igor Gipuzkoa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Igor Gipuzkoa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herminio Botello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laureano Bingen struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Igor Gipuzkoa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Churrascos FC. Zeledon Bermund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Generoso Mikelar kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. The supporters of Atlético Matorrales booed when Churrascos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Generoso Mikelar didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Zeledon Bermund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Igor Gipuzkoa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ezequiel Basajaun in the 35th minute of the match. The corner led Churrascos FC's Generoso Mikelar to fire away a dangerous shot which Igor Gipuzkoa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to Atlético Matorrales getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. In the 40th minute Laureano Bingen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Gipuzkoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute, Atlético Matorrales's Zeledon Bermund dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 54th minute Ezequiel Basajaun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Gipuzkoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Generoso Mikelar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 65 minutes of play, Atlético Matorrales's Zeledon Bermund made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Robustiano Cesaro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aristides Mattin hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute, Herminio Botello had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Baldomero Baladi fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético Matorrales's protests and gave Baldomero Baladi a yellow card for diving instead. Baldomero Baladi hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. 73 minutes into the match, Churrascos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zeledon Bermund came free, but Robustiano Cesaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aristides Mattin's late challenge caught a Churrascos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aristides Mattin helped the player get up and apologised. Igor Gipuzkoa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Laureano Bingen took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Igor Gipuzkoa. Igor Gipuzkoa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. In the 86th play minute Ezequiel Basajaun came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Igor Gipuzkoa. 2-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laureano Bingen got free with Igor Gipuzkoa in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 90th minute Zeledon Bermund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robustiano Cesaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atlético Matorrales's Igor Gipuzkoa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basilio Hotz in the 92nd minute of play. Igor Gipuzkoa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ezequiel Basajaun in the 97th minute.
