Jonathan Palmquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelino Sayvion, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Cremonese's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Teodosio Niva in the 8th minute. The supporters of Granate booed when Cremonese was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejo Jon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Horacio Vitin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernan Chepe in the 17th minute of the match. Laureano Asur's late challenge caught a Granate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 30 played minutes Granate got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Resto. Fabio Lore charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabio Lore the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 34th minute, Fabio Lore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th minute, Ladislao Columbo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Granate fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 42nd match minute, Granate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernan Chepe to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute, Marcelino Sayvion got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 47 played minutes Cremonese got a freekick which was hit by Laureano Asur. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcelino Sayvion to strike the kick off in the second half. If Fernan Chepe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute, Fernan Chepe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Horacio Vitin was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. When Fabio Lore came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Granate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabio Lore couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Cremonese getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Alfonso Domeka hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ladislao Columbo in the 89th minute of play forced Cremonese's goalkeeper Horacio Vitin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 93 played minutes Cremonese got a freekick which was hit by Bartolo Gerazan. After 94 played minutes Granate got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Lore. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelino Sayvion got free with Jonathan Palmquist in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. There was no doubt that Granate were the better team. Granate's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
