In the 15th match minute, ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernan Rusov to maneuver through the defense. Timoteo Gonzo struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Hilario Aznar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Argentinos Juniors. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diego Gonzales got free with Hilario Aznar in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Reynaldo Gilen managed to get in a good position for a shot. ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰'s supporters rose to their feet, but Reynaldo Gilen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santiago Demario breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Israel Shepherd in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hilario Aznar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Victorino Gombal kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Hilario Aznar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Israel Shepherd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Damaso Suarez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hilario Aznar. ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diego Gonzales to make the kick off. After 54 played minutes ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰ got a freekick which was hit by Rodas Canillas. Paolo Chap fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Demario having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Israel Shepherd ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hilario Aznar was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Argentinos Juniors walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
