Felix Inocente came out of the goal and Romain Riquelme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 4 minutes, Primitivo Abascal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UPAU FC and the Fumasche players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Lorenzo Quinito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lorenzo Quinito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Lorenzo Quinito notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of UPAU FC's Felix Inocente. Felix Inocente was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Romain Riquelme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, UPAU FC's goal looked a bit too open when Feliciano Berriotxoa came free, but Felix Inocente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. UPAU FC's Felix Inocente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romain Riquelme in the 26th minute of play. After some careless play in the UPAU FC defense, Lorenzo Quinito kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Felix Inocente. The UPAU FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Felix Inocente should have stopped the shot. Ramon Sustrai hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the match, UPAU FC's goal looked a bit too open when Santos Ponciano came free, but Felix Inocente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 37 played minutes UPAU FC got a freekick which was hit by Ramon Sustrai. Felix Inocente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romain Riquelme in the 38th minute of play. 41 minutes into the game, Herminio Guifre recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alex Ciscato. Herminio Guifre showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliciano Berriotxoa in the 45th minute of play forced UPAU FC's goalkeeper Felix Inocente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Santos Ponciano was slow to take the kick. During this time Fumasche's players had a chance to rest. Fumasche's Maximino Javiero was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Felix Inocente in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Lorenzo Quinito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Inocente having to interfere. Ramon Sustrai charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramon Sustrai the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, UPAU FC's Ramon Sustrai got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute, Fumasche's Kaj Björnsson seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Kaj Björnsson the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Fumasche protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Kaj Björnsson had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 74 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Fumasche! Alex Ciscato had in the 76thth minute some difficulties stopping Cruz Fuster's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Lorenzo Quinito took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Felix Inocente to make any attempt to save it. In the 87th minute, Fumasche's Romain Riquelme ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Felix Inocente. Felix Inocente yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lorenzo Quinito got free with Felix Inocente in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 97 minutes into the match, Lorenzo Quinito dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Felix Inocente, 1-6.
