The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laureano Natanael in the 11th minute of play forced Scofield's goalkeeper Fabian Pello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabian Pello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquiles Orland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th match minute, Scofield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingos Donio to maneuver through the defense. If Aquiles Orland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aaron Bemabe kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Florentino Franco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Etxatxu in the 45th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

With a little luck, Scofield's Fabian Pello got control of the ball when Aquiles Orland tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Generoso Figueroa fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Scofield's protests and gave Generoso Figueroa a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of R̶Ī̶И̶И̶Є̶Ǥ̶Â̶И booed when Scofield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Generoso Figueroa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 55 minutes into the game, Scofield's Juan Romero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Florentino Franco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emilio Madaleno got free with Fabian Pello in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emilio Etxatxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florentino Franco having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Aaron Bemabe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabian Pello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Madaleno in the 92nd minute of play. Scofield's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
