Martin Celipe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Yrigoyen.F.C's Jeronimo Pierres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Elija in the 54th minute of play. Jeronimo Pierres made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-3. Jeronimo Pierres was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Vladimiro Eron took a quick shot and it went in 5-4 without a chance for Martin Celipe to make any attempt to save it. Felix Tabby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeronimo Pierres having to interfere.
