Ovidio Oto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauricio Curcio in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benicio Innocenzio in the 23rd minute of play forced OLYMPIACOS FC's goalkeeper Ovidio Oto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Inti Mo came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Timo! fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inti Mo couldn't finish the play. Dionisio Bastia scored 1-0 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ovidio Oto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dionisio Bastia came free with the goalkeeper in the 37th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ovidio Oto could save by the left post. Andres Mateo kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the game, Dionisio Bastia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Ovidio Oto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ovidio Oto was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Benicio Innocenzio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Benicio Innocenzio really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
