The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA booed when Piquirenda FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nunez Playo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 11 minutes, Bartolo Amato successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 13thth minute of the game Pablo Rufio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA's Zeledon Markel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zeledon Markel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pablo Rufio's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Zeledon Markel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saverio Benat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute of the match, Juan Ignacio Cianci tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bartolo Amato saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Bartolo Amato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Chan in the 96th minute of the match. Pablo Rufio kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
