In the 28th minute Tulio Contratas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Rocendo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 32 minutes, Victor Eliu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Azulgrana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor Eliu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Prudencio Rodas in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ladislao Maurino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Volvio Moreno defense, Tulio Contratas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Virgilio Rocendo. The Volvio Moreno fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Virgilio Rocendo should have stopped the shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tulio Contratas to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 56 minutes, Tulio Contratas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Azulgrana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tulio Contratas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Tulio Contratas came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the El Azulgrana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tulio Contratas couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Tulio Contratas managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Azulgrana's supporters rose to their feet, but Tulio Contratas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Virgilio Rocendo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 65th match minute, El Azulgrana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Eliu to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Garin in the 78th minute of play forced Volvio Moreno's goalkeeper Virgilio Rocendo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Virgilio Rocendo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Garin in the 81st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Volvio Moreno's Baldomero Martinez got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Gaspar Evangelista had several of the El Azulgrana's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 84 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Ladislao Maurino as he didn't even see the shot coming. Virgilio Rocendo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Garin in the 87th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, El Azulgrana's goal looked a bit too open when Gaspar Evangelista came free, but Ladislao Maurino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, El Azulgrana's Teobaldo Celipe got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After having played for 94 minutes, Gaspar Evangelista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
