After 32 minutes, Bernardo Ado made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Putin Club - OFF's Vinicio Fix tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Vinicio Fix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Bautista in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Bernardo Ado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Estudiantes de América fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
The wind increased when Nikša Posavec made the kick off in the second half. Vinicio Fix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Bautista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Filiberto Ourente kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vinicio Fix. That made the score 0-3 in the 54 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernardo Ado got free with Vinicio Fix in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Putin Club - OFF's Silvano Rotov got a free kick in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Bautista in the 62nd minute of play forced Putin Club - OFF's goalkeeper Vinicio Fix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute Bernardo Ado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinicio Fix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Putin Club - OFF's Vinicio Fix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Ado in the 64th minute of play. Vinicio Fix came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Estudiantes de América's Bernardo Ado. But to his dismay, Bernardo Ado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Ado in the 80th minute of play forced Putin Club - OFF's goalkeeper Vinicio Fix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Melchor Evarado received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vinicio Fix came out and tried to block the shot, but Melchor Evarado slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 83rd minute. After having played for 88 minutes, Filiberto Ourente managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estudiantes de América's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filiberto Ourente was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 91st minute, Filiberto Ourente reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vinicio Fix. The goal made the score 0-6. When Filiberto Ourente came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Estudiantes de América fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filiberto Ourente couldn't finish the play. Vinicio Fix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Bautista, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The Estudiantes de América supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Estudiantes de América would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
