Spectators: 151 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jonathan Rayman kicked off to start the match. In the 5th minute of the match Brown Puerto Madryn got a corner. Sporting de Gijón's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Amadeo Frisco ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Amadeo Frisco almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sporting de Gijón's Sergio Romero did a great save. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Jonathan Rayman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brown Puerto Madryn's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonathan Rayman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sergio Romero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Brown Puerto Madryn getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Ernesto Johans hit a great ball. Flavio Pirro came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting de Gijón's Melchor Rosio. But to his dismay, Melchor Rosio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Brown Puerto Madryn's Rene Mero suffered a concussion after 21 minutes and had to leave the field. Brown Puerto Madryn made a substitution. Nunez Elorri replaced Rene Mero. In the 25th match minute, Brown Puerto Madryn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauro Ekain to maneuver through the defense. Elpidio Bixintxo fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 27th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. Flavio Pirro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Bixintxo in the 27th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Sporting de Gijón's goalkeeper Sergio Romero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ernesto Johans. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ernesto Johans in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sergio Romero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Bixintxo in the 35th minute of play forced Brown Puerto Madryn's goalkeeper Flavio Pirro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute Sporting de Gijón were awarded a corner. Elpidio Bixintxo went to the cornerflag to take it. Benigno Eriz was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Ernesto Johans struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Sergio Romero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brown Puerto Madryn. Ernesto Johans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Ernesto Johans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Sporting de Gijón were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Sporting de Gijón's Damián Šilha was substituted for Benigno Eriz. 54 minutes into the game, Brown Puerto Madryn's Ernesto Johans nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sergio Romero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Flavio Pirro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Bixintxo in the 60th minute of play. In the 61stth minute of the game Jonathan Rayman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting de Gijón's Sergio Romero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Sporting de Gijón's Bonifacio Oliverio got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Sergio Romero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Rayman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sergio Romero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Rayman in the 68th minute of the match. Sergio Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Johans, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After 81 played minutes Sporting de Gijón got a freekick which was hit by Angel Di Maria. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Elpidio Bixintxo put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Flavio Pirro. Brown Puerto Madryn's Flavio Pirro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elpidio Bixintxo in the 92nd minute of play. Válter Nogueira hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Ernesto Johans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
