Spectators: 150 (Terracing: 113, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Melchor Rosio got the match started through his kick off. Alto Marica was a little too slow when Elpidio Bixintxo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 5th minute. The score was now 1-0. After 9 played minutes Sporting de Gijón got a freekick which was hit by Pascual Tipi. The supporters of Sporting de Gijón booed when Paso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Lander didn't get a good kick on the ball. But to his dismay, Melchor Rosio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Alto Marica didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Angel Di Maria went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. 37 minutes into the match, Elpidio Bixintxo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alto Marica, 5-0. A collision led to Sporting de Gijón getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Válter Nogueira hit a great ball. Sergio Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Bladi in the 40th minute of play. In the 45th match minute, Sporting de Gijón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benigno Eriz to maneuver through the defense. Melchor Rosio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alto Marica having to interfere. Sporting de Gijón made a substitution. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting de Gijón's zone, Donato Bladi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergio Romero came out of the goal and Donato Bladi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 60 minutes into the match, Sporting de Gijón's goal looked a bit too open when Elijo Conchas came free, but Sergio Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elijo Conchas in the 67th minute of play forced Sporting de Gijón's goalkeeper Sergio Romero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Melchor Rosio hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. 74 minutes into the match, Silvestre Cutberto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sergio Romero, 5-2. 78 minutes into the game, Sporting de Gijón's Elpidio Bixintxo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alto Marica made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-2. Alto Marica didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elpidio Bixintxo went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-2 was the resulting score. Sporting de Gijón's Sergio Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elijo Conchas in the 95th minute of play. Alfonso Lander kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Elpidio Bixintxo scored 8-2 in the 98th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alto Marica, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
