In the 5th minute Leo Argina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernan Ellande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 6 minutes into the match, Academia Club's goal looked a bit too open when Cornelio Colas came free, but Hernan Ellande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Academia Club's Hernan Ellande played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornelio Colas in the 12th minute of play. Club Dep. Union Madereros's Luis Swain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leo Delfino in the 14th minute of play. Hernan Ellande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Abella in the 18th minute of play. Hernan Ellande took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leo Argina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carmelo Osmundo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 26 minutes into the match. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Academia Club! Hernan Ellande went to the wrong direction when Rene Vito was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Hernan Ellande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marciano Gumaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After a rather tough play, Academia Club's Cristian Gaur got a free kick in the 30th minute. Hernan Ellande showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornelio Colas in the 32nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angel Urtsin got free with Luis Swain in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hernan Ellande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leo Argina, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 42nd minute Cornelio Colas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernan Ellande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee ignored Academia Club's protests and gave Cristian Gaur a yellow card for diving instead. Club Dep. Union Madereros's Fabio Dimo was substituted for Rene Vito. Cristian Gaur hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cornelio Colas was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Academia Club getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Leonel Eutropio hit a great ball. Cornelio Colas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hernan Ellande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornelio Colas in the 56th minute of play. In the 58th match minute, Academia Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Eutropio to maneuver through the defense. Club Dep. Union Madereros made a substitution. Domingo Resto replaced Murilo Leão. Leonel Eutropio kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Paulo Bartolome sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Hernan Ellande managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Club Dep. Union Madereros's Cornelio Colas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Hernan Ellande stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cornelio Colas's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. The supporters of Academia Club booed when Club Dep. Union Madereros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingo Resto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Academia Club's goalkeeper Hernan Ellande had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leo Argina. Leonel Eutropio hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornelio Colas in the 73rd minute of play forced Academia Club's goalkeeper Hernan Ellande to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cornelio Colas struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Hernan Ellande didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Dep. Union Madereros. Hernan Ellande stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cornelio Colas's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. After 82 played minutes Academia Club got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Eutropio. A hard shot 87 in the game by Cornelio Colas from a close distance when the talented Hernan Ellande managed to make a qualified save. Academia Club's players were relieved. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Dep. Union Madereros's Leo Argina slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hernan Ellande. That made the score 0-3 after 89 minutes of play. 92 minutes into the game, Paulo Bartolome was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Academia Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Dep. Union Madereros the free kick. Paulo Bartolome hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute, Cornelio Colas made a precise shot to the right of Hernan Ellande. Academia Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Leo Argina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hernan Ellande read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. The Academia Club fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Club Dep. Union Madereros were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
