A collision led to Club Deportivo Álvarez getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Alexis Santos hit a great ball. Aureliano Obeko came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Deportivo Álvarez's Modesto Ricart. But to his dismay, Modesto Ricart quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 22 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Álvarez's Ildefonso Fix sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aureliano Obeko narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 24th minute Epifanio Argider shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aureliano Obeko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Leones FC's goalkeeper Aureliano Obeko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ildefonso Fix. After 30 minutes, Matias Montes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leones FC and the Club Deportivo Álvarez players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Leones FC's Matias Montes got a free kick in the 31st minute. 32 minutes into the match, Leones FC's goalkeeper Aureliano Obeko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Modesto Ricart. Modesto Ricart succeeded in the game's 32nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. The supporters of Club Deportivo Álvarez booed when Leones FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amado Jordy didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Juan Hvalica made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Leones FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Amado Jordy hit a great ball. Leones FC's Aureliano Obeko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Epifanio Argider in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Cirilo Bingen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute, Leones FC's Severino Ler ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Apolo Munio. Apolo Munio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo Álvarez's Osvaldo Oihan got a free kick in the 66th minute. Leones FC's Miguel Lando shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 67th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Apolo Munio but with some difficulty. Modesto Ricart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Aureliano Obeko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Apolo Munio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Lando in the 76th minute of play. When Nestor Rito fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leones FC's protests and gave Nestor Rito a yellow card for diving instead. Aureliano Obeko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ildefonso Fix in the 82nd minute of the match. When Modesto Ricart came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Club Deportivo Álvarez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Modesto Ricart couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Ler in the 97th minute of play forced Club Deportivo Álvarez's goalkeeper Apolo Munio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
