The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marco Berasko hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Elpidio Cutberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Godoy in the 36th minute of play. When Remigio Torres fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 1989 Blxsk's protests and gave Remigio Torres a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of 1989 Blxsk booed when Justicialista FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvano Salomone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
