Riquelme Fútbol Club's Atila Edu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Potente in the 21st minute of play. Atila Edu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Potente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 24 played minutes Riquelme Fútbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Tití Bârlă. After having played for 25 minutes, Osvaldo Potente managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osvaldo Potente in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Atila Edu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Riquelme Fútbol Club's Erasmo Vela got a free kick in the 41st minute. After taking down the ball on La Candela FC's corner Luis Medero fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Atila Edu quite easily take care of the ball. The audience was convinced that Rubén-Darío Feldmann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Atila Edu was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leo Wiberg made a kick off. Osvaldo Potente came free with the goalkeeper in the 52nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Atila Edu could save by the left post. Osvaldo Potente got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 2-2 in the right cross in the 54th match minute before Atila Edu had time to react. Riquelme Fútbol Club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Gabi Batistuta scored to the left of an out of position Atila Edu, making the score, 2-3. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Rubén-Darío Feldmann put it in 2-5 from a short distance just to the right of Atila Edu. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched La Candela FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
