Ke Xun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmiro Ferrando having to interfere. Sebastián Méndez's late challenge caught a Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastián Méndez helped the player get up and apologised. Lucas Gaur kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. 45 minutes into the game, Gustavo-Hernán Egoi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Delmiro Ferrando was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Mazaredo AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mazaredo AFC the free kick. Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
