Fernando Tolhauzsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Próspero Friederichs managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when WAL Family United Team's Fanuco Miro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 17 minutes into the match, AFC Richmond's goalkeeper Próspero Friederichs had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fanuco Miro. Fanuco Miro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Próspero Friederichs skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Próspero Friederichs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlondon Riaño in the 19th minute of the match. Rafael Maria Cousiño's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lopes Rosell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Lopes Rosell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiel Pinksteren, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. The supporters of WAL Family United Team booed when AFC Richmond was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiel Pinksteren didn't get a good kick on the ball. When WAL Family United Team's Fanuco Miro in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 33rd match minute, AFC Richmond was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Arostegui to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the match, WAL Family United Team's goal looked a bit too open when Saturnino Aburto came free, but Lopes Rosell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lopes Rosell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Arostegui in the 39th minute of the match. Orlondon Riaño's late challenge caught a AFC Richmond's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Orlondon Riaño helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40th minute, Orlondon Riaño hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The throw-in from Gaspar Viguri in the 42nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by AFC Richmond's Saturnino Aburto. Lopes Rosell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Tolhauzsen in the 42nd minute of play. AFC Richmond's Próspero Friederichs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eladio Rascon in the 44th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emiel Pinksteren in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lopes Rosell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Enrique Arostegui scored 1-1 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lopes Rosell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eladio Rascon made a kick off. Orlondon Riaño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. AFC Richmond made a substitution. Lucio Jose María Coromina replaced Sandro Cavareda. In the 66th minute Fernando Tolhauzsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lopes Rosell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th match minute, WAL Family United Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlondon Riaño to maneuver through the defense. AFC Richmond made a substitution. Roy Kent replaced Rafael Maria Cousiño. In the 70th minute, Orlondon Riaño hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felipe Hernández could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Lopes Rosell made a huge save. AFC Richmond's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
