The supporters of Deportivo Popolizio FBC booed when Ornitorrincos F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 27th minute of the match Lonzo Corullon sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but César Bertrand skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 32 minutes, Reces Bacheler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ornitorrincos F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Reces Bacheler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Deportivo Popolizio FBC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Egoi Costeras hit a great ball. After 39 minutes of play, Ornitorrincos F.C.'s Duardo Pruniel made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Artizar Melic was left in no man's land by his defense there! Modestio Jina hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Benvide Cercalde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. César Bertrand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Deportivo Popolizio FBC booed when Ornitorrincos F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Modestio Jina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Cheche Bellogin got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Velasco Urquiola was substituted for Jenaro Salmanton. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gianluca Popolizio in the 59th minute of play forced Ornitorrincos F.C.'s goalkeeper César Bertrand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Artizar Melic proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Popolizio FBC from getting a goal against them. After 70 played minutes Ornitorrincos F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Modestio Jina. César Bertrand came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Gianluca Popolizio. But to his dismay, Gianluca Popolizio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 79th minute of the game. One of Deportivo Popolizio FBC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ornitorrincos F.C.:s goal. Ever Artaño kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Lonzo Corullon might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over César Bertrand. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lonzo Corullon ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amador Maritano during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Amador Maritano hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Modestio Jina charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Modestio Jina the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th minute, Modestio Jina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the game, Aldo Popolizio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
