Pierres Baz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 31 minutes, Sherman Cardenas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético Bucaramanga and the Deportivo Popolizio FBC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Atlético Bucaramanga getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Sherman Cardenas hit a great ball. A well done corner resulted in Aldo Popolizio drilling the ball in to score 2-0 behind Atlético Bucaramanga's goalkeeper. After a rather tough play, Atlético Bucaramanga's Ellande Aguinagalde got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Phelipe Escarza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silban Bonifaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lugo Saavedra made a kick off. The referee ignored Atlético Bucaramanga's protests and gave Hulberto Arango a yellow card for diving instead. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Gabon Castrejana was substituted for Benvide Cercalde. But to his dismay, Cheche Bellogin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Juan-Carlos Gonzalo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cheche Bellogin went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Atlético Bucaramanga defense, Cheche Bellogin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juan-Carlos Gonzalo. The Atlético Bucaramanga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan-Carlos Gonzalo should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabon Castrejana in the 81st minute of play forced Atlético Bucaramanga's goalkeeper Juan-Carlos Gonzalo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabon Castrejana scored 7-0 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juan-Carlos Gonzalo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabon Castrejana in the 87th minute of play forced Atlético Bucaramanga's goalkeeper Juan-Carlos Gonzalo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 92 played minutes Deportivo Popolizio FBC got a freekick which was hit by Hector-Luis Almandoz. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Deportivo Popolizio FBC had played much better football throughout.
