The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Flagstaff getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Simon Rainey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogerio Logares in the 17th minute of the match. A.J. Sanderson's late challenge caught a Ornopata's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. A.J. The wind increased when Kermit Regan made the kick off in the second half. But to his dismay, Xosepe Iñigo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. 94 minutes into the match, Flagstaff's goalkeeper Simon Rainey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xosepe Iñigo. 96 minutes into the match, Xabel Santaren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Simon Rainey. Flagstaff's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Xabel Santaren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. Ornopata played a much better game than Flagstaff and deserved their victory. The Flagstaff players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
