Tommie Kirkpatrick was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Blaine Schaffer showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Fred Renteria notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of River tu grato nombre's Jayson Burnett. Santo Thomas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommie Kirkpatrick having to interfere. With an all-out effort, River tu grato nombre's Tommie Kirkpatrick threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Santo Thomas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Creekers's Alfred Crowder got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 35th minute of the match, Santo Thomas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tommie Kirkpatrick saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Tommie Kirkpatrick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santo Thomas in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
53 minutes into the match, Creekers's goal looked a bit too open when Jeff Clemons came free, but Tommie Kirkpatrick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Creekers's Tommie Kirkpatrick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blaine Schaffer in the 54th minute of play. In the 59th minute, River tu grato nombre's Tadeusz Chodzinski seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Tadeusz Chodzinski the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of River tu grato nombre protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Tadeusz Chodzinski had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Sanford Adkins hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. With his leg Jayson Burnett managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Creekers's Stacey Geiger fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fred Renteria got free with Jayson Burnett in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Santo Thomas, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 71 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Tommie Kirkpatrick was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Tommie Kirkpatrick took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeff Clemons, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. River tu grato nombre's defense didn't have a chance, in the 77th minute, when Rudy Trotter scored to the left of an out of position Jayson Burnett, making the score, 2-3. Felix Wedemeyer kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Tommie Kirkpatrick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santo Thomas in the 81st minute of the match. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommie Kirkpatrick prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Creekers's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
