The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th match minute, Deportivo Rodriguez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tyrell Cochran to maneuver through the defense. Tony Joyce came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Jagiellonia Denver's Roch Covington. But to his dismay, Roch Covington quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 14th match minute, Deportivo Rodriguez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josef Carlisle to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute of the match Edison Lam sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tony Joyce skillfully saved the ball. After some careless play in the Jagiellonia Denver defense, Marcelo Marcello kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antonio Grossman. The Jagiellonia Denver fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antonio Grossman should have stopped the shot. In the 24th minute, Marcelo Marcello made a precise shot to the right of Antonio Grossman. Jagiellonia Denver's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 40th minute Marcelo Marcello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Grossman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Pedro struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Antonio Grossman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Rodriguez. Josef Carlisle was shown his second yellow card after 47 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 46th minute, one of Deportivo Rodriguez:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Deportivo Rodriguez. The goalkeeper, Tony Joyce, was totally fooled by Jagiellonia Denver's Edison Lam, who 48 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Trenton Warren made a kick off. Antonio Grossman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jason Douglas, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After 54 played minutes Deportivo Rodriguez got a freekick which was hit by Hal Cortez. Tony Joyce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bryon Hendrix in the 57th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Rodriguez's Pedro Pedro got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 65th minute Jason Douglas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Grossman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tony Joyce didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bryon Hendrix went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. In the 81stth minute of the game Jason Douglas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jagiellonia Denver's Antonio Grossman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Deportivo Rodriguez getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Marcelo Marcello hit a great ball. Tony Joyce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roch Covington, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 88 minutes into the match, Deportivo Rodriguez's goal looked a bit too open when Roch Covington came free, but Tony Joyce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tony Joyce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edison Lam in the 91st minute of the match. A collision led to Deportivo Rodriguez getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Tyrell Cochran hit a great ball. Tony Joyce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roch Covington, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Deportivo Rodriguez's Tony Joyce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bryon Hendrix in the 96th minute of play. Jagiellonia Denver's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
