In the 8th match minute, Jagiellonia Denver was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurice Guthrie to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Jagiellonia Denver's Antonio Grossman got control of the ball when Renato Nunez-Tesheira tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Columbus Becker during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Pedro Maldonado went to the cornerflag to take it. After 18 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Jagiellonia Denver! Antonio Grossman had in the 19thth minute some difficulties stopping Pedro Maldonado's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball In the 19th minute, Atletico Aragua FC's Pedro Maldonado dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Antonio Grossman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Renato Nunez-Tesheira in the 29th minute. In the 30th match minute, Jagiellonia Denver was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bryon Hendrix to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute, Bryon Hendrix got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Roch Covington received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Flavio Urizar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flavio Urizar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bryon Hendrix in the 38th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Atletico Aragua FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bryon Hendrix came free, but Flavio Urizar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Renato Nunez-Tesheira to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Jagiellonia Denver's goal looked a bit too open when Gaspard Izquierdo came free, but Antonio Grossman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Trenton Warren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th match minute, Jagiellonia Denver was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bryon Hendrix to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute of the match Buinton Barreda shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Antonio Grossman showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 62nd minute of the game. One of Atletico Aragua FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Jagiellonia Denver:s goal. After 65 played minutes Jagiellonia Denver got a freekick which was hit by Maurice Guthrie. The audience was convinced that Renato Nunez-Tesheira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antonio Grossman was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. A nice corner shot did that Rik Percaz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Antonio Grossman quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 72 minutes into the match, Gaspard Izquierdo notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Jagiellonia Denver's Antonio Grossman. Antonio Grossman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 75th minute, Trenton Warren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the match, Jagiellonia Denver's goal looked a bit too open when Renato Nunez-Tesheira came free, but Antonio Grossman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Atletico Aragua FC's zone, Trenton Warren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavio Urizar came out of the goal and Trenton Warren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chase Course charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chase Course the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Jagiellonia Denver's Chase Course got a free kick in the 86th minute. Jagiellonia Denver's Antonio Grossman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Maldonado in the 87th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Renato Nunez-Tesheira in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antonio Grossman saved Jagiellonia Denver from getting behind. When Isauro Bolinaga fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atletico Aragua FC's protests and gave Isauro Bolinaga a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Atletico Aragua FC's Isauro Bolinaga got a free kick in the 89th minute. 93 minutes into the match, Bryon Hendrix dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Flavio Urizar, 3-1. Bryon Hendrix recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jagiellonia Denver's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
