Stacio Goveo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paredes Campderros in the 8th minute of the match. Paredes Campderros took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stacio Goveo. Stacio Goveo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 21 played minutes ............ got a freekick which was hit by Xinto Figueira. A collision led to Astillero del Guayas getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Paredes Campderros hit a great ball. James Lezana had several of the Astillero del Guayas's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 39 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Walter Huarte as he didn't even see the shot coming. Walter Huarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from James Lezana in the 47th minute of play. The ............ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Astillero del Guayas were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when James Lezana stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Astillero del Guayas's zone, James Lezana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walter Huarte came out of the goal and James Lezana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 54 minutes, James Lezana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ............'s supporters crossed their fingers, but James Lezana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 57 minutes of play, ............'s James Lezana made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Walter Huarte was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulizes Sola got free with Stacio Goveo in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ulizes Sola could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Stacio Goveo made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by James Lezana in the 63rd minute of play forced Astillero del Guayas's goalkeeper Walter Huarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. James Lezana struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Walter Huarte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ............. Stacio Goveo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Miruena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute, Astillero del Guayas's Ulizes Sola dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. Stacio Goveo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulizes Sola, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. When ............'s James Lezana in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Astillero del Guayas's goalie prevented a goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Astillero del Guayas eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
