Jeronimo Avaria scored 1-0 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Justino Abaunza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 8 minutes into the game, Baiona Abad cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Baudelio Santa Ana was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Capo de Provincia's Alexis Byers quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Cidro Abajas, made in the 13th minute of the game. 16 minutes into the match, Osvaldo Sánchez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Justino Abaunza. Discípulos de Ayn Rand's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osvaldo Sánchez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Osvaldo Sánchez got free with Justino Abaunza in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Discípulos de Ayn Rand's Justino Abaunza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeronimo Avaria in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Discípulos de Ayn Rand's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Epifanío Mejia was slow to take the kick. During this time Capo de Provincia's players had a chance to rest. Jeronimo Avaria scored 4-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Justino Abaunza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jeronimo Avaria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Justino Abaunza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeronimo Avaria in the 37th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Victor Hugo Fermandois hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Conrado Cumsille hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute of the match Cidro Abajas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Baudelio Santa Ana showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Osvaldo Sánchez was the one to do the kick off. The throw-in from Cidro Abajas in the 51st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Capo de Provincia's Soriano Monckeberg. Justino Abaunza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jeronimo Avaria went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. 60 minutes into the game, Cidro Abajas threw the ball into play from the sideline. Capo de Provincia's Alexis Byers quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Justino Abaunza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeronimo Avaria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the game, Osvaldo Sánchez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Capo de Provincia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Discípulos de Ayn Rand the free kick. A collision led to Capo de Provincia getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Osvaldo Sánchez hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Discípulos de Ayn Rand's Baudelio Santa Ana threw himself towards the right post 69 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Robustiano Abello, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Baiona Abad who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Baudelio Santa Ana when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rene Abechuco hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeronimo Avaria in the 78th minute of play forced Discípulos de Ayn Rand's goalkeeper Justino Abaunza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Discípulos de Ayn Rand booed when Capo de Provincia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado Cumsille didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Capo de Provincia had won after a very even match.
