Manex Pajazo was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Manex Pajazo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Toni Schumacher quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Socavon FC booed when Club Dep. Soc. Rodo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vasco Larrangos didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Baldomiro Contero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 36 played minutes Club Dep. Soc. Rodo got a freekick which was hit by Laffitte Camino. 38 minutes into the game, Socavon FC's Ferran Rial nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christovao Haces made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 42 minutes, Franko Tio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Socavon FC and the Club Dep. Soc. Rodo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, Socavon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franko Tio to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Santiago Luzano got free with Toni Schumacher in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
