In the 9th minute, Armando Leobardo made a precise shot to the right of Jason Achin. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Jude Vang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Owen in the 12th minute of play. The supporters of El Canalla de Chicago booed when Qikiqtarjuaq FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Junior Stover didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jude Vang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Junior Stover, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Jude Vang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Junior Stover in the 16th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Junior Stover made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Qikiqtarjuaq FC's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Knox came free, but Jason Achin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. El Canalla de Chicago's Jude Vang proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save El Canalla de Chicago from getting a goal against them. Moses Daniel scored 1-2 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jude Vang, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. El Canalla de Chicago's Rudolf Pendleton was substituted for Daron Davidson. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jason Achin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in El Canalla de Chicago's zone, Denver Grimes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jude Vang came out of the goal and Denver Grimes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. El Canalla de Chicago's defense didn't have a chance, in the 77th minute, when Mario Dostie scored to the left of an out of position Jude Vang, making the score, 1-3. 81 minutes into the game, Domingo Lopez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Jason Achin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Michael Owen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the match, El Canalla de Chicago's goalkeeper Jude Vang had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Junior Stover. A collision led to Qikiqtarjuaq FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Mario Dostie hit a great ball. Armando Leobardo charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Armando Leobardo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th match minute, El Canalla de Chicago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Leobardo to maneuver through the defense.
