The supporters of El Canalla de Chicago booed when Tango en Miami FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. John Crabtree didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daron Davidson kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. El Canalla de Chicago's Jude Vang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Norman in the 12th minute of play. Tango en Miami FC's Jack Shaw was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jude Vang in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to El Canalla de Chicago getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Norberto Bristol hit a great ball. Tango en Miami FC's John Crabtree got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, Tango en Miami FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daron Davidson came free, but Graig Davenport reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 23 minutes of play, El Canalla de Chicago's Daron Davidson made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Graig Davenport was left in no man's land by his defense there! Graig Davenport came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by El Canalla de Chicago's Domingo Lopez. But to his dismay, Domingo Lopez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 32nd minute, Danny Escobedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Tango en Miami FC's Jude Vang threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Graham Kearney, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The corner led Tango en Miami FC's Jack Shaw to fire away a dangerous shot which Jude Vang despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jude Vang made an important save on a dangerous shot by John Crabtree in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and John Crabtree made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Domingo Lopez got free with Graig Davenport in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Armando Leobardo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Graig Davenport made a huge save. In the 63rd minute of the match, Rudolf Pendleton tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Graig Davenport saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Graig Davenport took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Leobardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Graig Davenport stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Armando Leobardo's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Emanuel Matos charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 71st minute Domingo Lopez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Graig Davenport saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raul Knox could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Graig Davenport made a huge save. Cody Gentry was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 74 minutes into the match. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for El Canalla de Chicago! Jack Shaw shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Raul Knox received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Graig Davenport tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, John Crabtree got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. El Canalla de Chicago's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
