The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Colo-Colo booed when Uηiση Aтℓεтιcσ Mαгαcαιвσ✈ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorio Baro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute Xandro Zubillaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Marcó saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Colo-Colo's goal looked a bit too open when Gabino Navajas came free, but Emiliano Marcó reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21 minutes Colo-Colo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Carsten-Alexander Rios who took care of the corner kick. When Osvaldo Lodeña fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uηiση Aтℓεтιcσ Mαгαcαιвσ✈'s protests and gave Osvaldo Lodeña a yellow card for diving instead. Toninho Bibikov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ederono Bada having to interfere. Colo-Colo made a substitution. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ederono Bada prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ederono Bada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toninho Bibikov, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Uηiση Aтℓεтιcσ Mαгαcαιвσ✈ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
