After a rather tough play, Azul Y Plomo's Ladislao Esquipula got a free kick in the 4th minute. Amado Fanta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Hugo Juarros made a huge save. A collision led to Azul Y Plomo getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Rogerio Arcos hit a great ball. Nelson Tapia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thiago Gøl in the 13th minute of the match. Thiago Gøl recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18th minute, Spartans FC's Amado Fanta dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Nelson Tapia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thiago Gøl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amado Fanta in the 30th minute of play forced Azul Y Plomo's goalkeeper Hugo Juarros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Azul Y Plomo defense, Amado Fanta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hugo Juarros. The Azul Y Plomo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hugo Juarros should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Azul Y Plomo booed when Spartans FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nop Ašais didn't get a good kick on the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Amado Fanta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hugo Juarros. Azul Y Plomo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amado Fanta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Amado Fanta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Hugo Juarros made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amado Fanta got free with Hugo Juarros in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thiago Gøl stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The throw-in from Jose Ramon Pinuer in the 51st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Azul Y Plomo's Ximen Barnuevo. Fabio Gerbella scored 4-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hugo Juarros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Azul Y Plomo made a substitution. Mete Gol replaced Atahuallpa Quito. If Amado Fanta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Juarros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Gerbella, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. With his leg Nelson Tapia managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when Azul Y Plomo's Leo Matute fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Francisco José Vidal's late challenge caught a Azul Y Plomo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francisco José Vidal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 82nd minute, Francisco José Vidal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hugo Juarros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amado Fanta in the 85th minute of the match.
