Marco Ruben started the match with the kick off. If Ignacio Scocco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Inter de Guayaquil FC's Santiago Casanande got a free kick in the 17th minute. Zuriko Lagala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Ruben, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. The throw-in from He Yi in the 22nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Inter de Guayaquil FC's Xusto Vada. In the 23rd minute, Jerson Casas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Inter de Guayaquil FC's Santiago Casanande got a free kick in the 26th minute. If Marco Ruben had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zuriko Lagala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Scocco in the 34th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Inter de Guayaquil FC's Vicente Depino got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind River CBBA's goalkeeper Ubaldo Matildo Fillol, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Zuriko Lagala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Scocco in the 39th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Inter de Guayaquil FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Ruben came free, but Zuriko Lagala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
