Omar Duardo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Geovani de Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Ferdinand in the 13th minute of the match. Vancouver Reds's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Macnelly Torres in the 14th minute. Vancouver Reds's Macnelly Torres was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Geovani de Salles in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 18th minute, Ríver Late's Claudio Echeverri dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. After having played for 21 minutes, Rodrigo Ferdinand managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vancouver Reds's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo Ferdinand was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 25 minutes into the game, Vancouver Reds's Rodrigo Ferdinand nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geovani de Salles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Ríver Late's Geovani de Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Ferdinand in the 27th minute of play. In the 28thth minute of the game Rodrigo Ferdinand who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ríver Late's Geovani de Salles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Vancouver Reds's goalkeeper Omar Duardo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudio Echeverri. The supporters of Vancouver Reds booed when Ríver Late was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Egger didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dolfo Clemente during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dolfo Clemente kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 36th minute 陆西迅 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovani de Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Claudio Echeverri came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Ríver Late fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudio Echeverri couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by 陆西迅 in the 41st minute of play forced Ríver Late's goalkeeper Geovani de Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudio Echeverri to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Vancouver Reds's goalkeeper Omar Duardo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A nice corner shot did that Dolfo Clemente got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Omar Duardo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 67th match minute, Vancouver Reds was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julian Gmoch to maneuver through the defense. Julian Gmoch kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dimas Barrientos in the 69th minute of play forced Vancouver Reds's goalkeeper Omar Duardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Vancouver Reds's Róbson Queirós got a free kick in the 70th minute. Omar Duardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiliano Gai, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Olin Munster kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Vancouver Reds's Bixente Lizarazu was substituted for Olin Munster. Olin Munster hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Omar Duardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dimas Barrientos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Ríver Late's Geovani de Salles got control of the ball when Görkem Büyükada tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Gai in the 86th minute of play forced Vancouver Reds's goalkeeper Omar Duardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
