Spectators: 205 (Terracing: 154, Seating: 47, VIP seats: 4) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ursino Brunet kicked off to start the match. Nacional's attentive Guilllermo Bulnes managed to snatch the ball when Juan Estevan Hamdorf made a throw-in in the 3rd minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ursino Brunet in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ilkka Markkula saved Club Deportes Santa Cruz from getting behind. Nacional were furious when Felipe Carballo was red carded, 9 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. A collision led to Nacional getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Felipe Carballo hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raimundo Tupper got free with Juaneizu Merida in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ursino Brunet struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Ilkka Markkula didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nacional. After a rather tough play, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Eusebiu Tunar got a free kick in the 25th minute. Ursino Brunet scored 0-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ilkka Markkula, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Juaneizu Merida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yan Zhi Chuan in the 29th minute of play. Juan Estevan Hamdorf kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Juaneizu Merida made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Raimundo Tupper sent off a good shot on target. Nacional's Juaneizu Merida proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Nacional from getting a goal against them. 42 minutes into the match, Nacional's goal looked a bit too open when Yan Zhi Chuan came free, but Juaneizu Merida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Nacional's goal looked a bit too open when Yan Zhi Chuan came free, but Juaneizu Merida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcus Edström to strike the kick off in the second half. Juan Estevan Hamdorf hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute of the match Vágner Linares sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juaneizu Merida skillfully saved the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Nacional's goal looked a bit too open when Trayko Gradinarski came free, but Juaneizu Merida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute Trayko Gradinarski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juaneizu Merida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juaneizu Merida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yan Zhi Chuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 63 played minutes Club Deportes Santa Cruz got a freekick which was hit by Juan Estevan Hamdorf. Trayko Gradinarski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ilkka Markkula made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Ursino Brunet sent off a good shot on target. After 71 played minutes Club Deportes Santa Cruz got a freekick which was hit by Marcus Edström. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Edström in the 74th minute of play forced Nacional's goalkeeper Juaneizu Merida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Nacional's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Edström came free, but Juaneizu Merida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ursino Brunet came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Nacional fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ursino Brunet couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd minute Marcus Edström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juaneizu Merida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juaneizu Merida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hüseyin Rahmi Toper, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ursino Brunet in the 88th minute of play forced Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goalkeeper Ilkka Markkula to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juaneizu Merida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yan Zhi Chuan in the 91st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Nacional's Matías Viña got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd minute of the match Vágner Linares sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juaneizu Merida skillfully saved the ball.
