Trayko Gradinarski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Fondos having to interfere. After some careless play in the Swift GTi defense, Podador Raheiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daniel Fondos. The Swift GTi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daniel Fondos should have stopped the shot. Antonio Gorri hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 20 minutes into the match, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goal looked a bit too open when Nicasio Raymond came free, but Ilkka Markkula reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ilkka Markkula was a little too slow when Nicasio Raymond got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 2-1. Ilkka Markkula made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Llantaron in the 33rd minute of play. Nicasio Raymond scored 3-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ilkka Markkula, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Swift GTi's Daniel Fondos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Podador Raheiro in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th minute Zhuang Xi Xi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilkka Markkula saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Swift GTi's Khvicha Kvaratskhelia got a free kick in the 45th minute. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Yan Zhi Chuan was substituted for Podador Raheiro. In the 47th minute, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilberto Sandoval took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Daniel Fondos. Swift GTi's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
