An unexpectedly hard shot by 陆西迅 in the 4th minute of play forced Playa Malvín's goalkeeper Estavan Virto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leon Ciriaca was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 6 minutes into the match. The supporters of Vancouver Reds booed when Playa Malvín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Ciriaca didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 68 played minutes Playa Malvín got a freekick which was hit by Xayvion Penas. Omar Duardo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaufred Betanzos in the 71st minute. 72 minutes into the game, Gaufred Betanzos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Omar Duardo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 91 minutes of play, Vancouver Reds's Görkem Büyükada made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Estavan Virto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vancouver Reds's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
