Spectators: 205 (Terracing: 154, Seating: 47, VIP seats: 4) Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Yan Zhi Chuan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dolfo Clemente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Juan Estevan Hamdorf got a free kick in the 12th minute. Alvaro Muno kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. When Baran Sarka came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Ríver Late fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baran Sarka couldn't finish the play. Ríver Late's Geovani de Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yan Zhi Chuan in the 22nd minute of play. Moisés Alvarenga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 29th minute, Yan Zhi Chuan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geovani de Salles was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The supporters of Club Deportes Santa Cruz booed when Ríver Late was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Selatse Betances didn't get a good kick on the ball. Geovani de Salles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yan Zhi Chuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ríver Late's Carl Skytt got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 40 minutes Ríver Late's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Qu Zheng Song who took care of the corner kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Baran Sarka hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Raimundo Tupper was substituted for Yan Zhi Chuan. In the 57th match minute, Ríver Late was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baran Sarka to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute, Raimundo Tupper ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geovani de Salles was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Ilkka Markkula made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Dimas Barrientos sent off a good shot on target. Geovani de Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Tupper in the 69th minute of the match. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Raimundo Tupper got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ilkka Markkula took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dimas Barrientos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute, Carl Skytt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Geovani de Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Tupper in the 92nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ríver Late's Ciro Egger got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The Club Deportes Santa Cruz players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
