Zeno Sama started the match with the kick off. Geovani de Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeno Sama in the 3rd minute of the match. Geovani de Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Corredor in the 4th minute of play. Jacindo Rotaetamorga charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jacindo Rotaetamorga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 7th minute, Achraf Hakimi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Videl Mauriz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Francisco Silveira in the 8th minute of play. The supporters of MILLONARIOS FC booed when Ríver Late was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rick Haremeijer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juan Corredor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Geovani de Salles made a huge save. After 20 played minutes Zeno Sama rounded Ríver Late's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. If Zeno Sama had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Corredor in the 27th minute of play forced Ríver Late's goalkeeper Geovani de Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Ríver Late booed when MILLONARIOS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Achraf Hakimi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute Zeno Sama shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovani de Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geovani de Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Corredor in the 41st minute of the match. After 44 played minutes Ríver Late got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Echeverri. Theo Hernández hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

MILLONARIOS FC's Videl Mauriz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save MILLONARIOS FC from getting a goal against them. MILLONARIOS FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ruud van Nistelrooij in the 54th minute. Baran Sarka charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Claudio Echeverri struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Videl Mauriz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ríver Late. Ríver Late made a substitution. Carl Skytt replaced Rick Haremeijer. After some careless play in the Ríver Late defense, Juan Corredor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geovani de Salles. The Ríver Late fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geovani de Salles should have stopped the shot. Geovani de Salles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eskild Sneftrup's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. The audience was convinced that Eskild Sneftrup's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geovani de Salles was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Videl Mauriz made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Carl Skytt sent off a good shot on target. Baran Sarka was shown his second yellow card after 77 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Baran Sarka hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. The MILLONARIOS FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
