In the 20th minute, 范博默 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 肖升荣 who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of 安 琦 when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 罗沙天 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. ZHEJIANG FC's 黄亦宽 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 罗沙天 in the 28th minute of play. 安 琦 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 肖升荣, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 黄亦宽 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 龙阳岚, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 福建宁德活塞队's Genaro Kimetz got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of 福建宁德活塞队 booed when ZHEJIANG FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. 罗斐昆 didn't get a good kick on the ball. 黄亦宽 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genaro Kimetz in the 61st minute of the match. 安 琦 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 肖升荣 in the 64th minute of play. In the 64th minute 肖升荣 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 安 琦 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by 康悦 during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 65th minute, 康悦 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
