The supporters of Australian Youth Academy booed when Salmiyah Power was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Qiao Jian didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmichael Tinsley in the 6th minute of play forced Salmiyah Power's goalkeeper Jussef Ben Mami to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute of the match, Boughera Benmabrouk tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Baxter Baba saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Baxter Baba was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Boughera Benmabrouk showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. After 18 minutes, Carmichael Tinsley made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Salmiyah Power's Jussef Ben Mami tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jamie Baba hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Baxter Baba was a little too slow when Ismaïl Hadjadj got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 2-1. Ismaïl Hadjadj could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Baxter Baba made a huge save. A collision led to Australian Youth Academy getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Carmichael Baba hit a great ball. Samir Abdenouz took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Baxter Baba. Baxter Baba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 33rdth minute of the game Carmichael Tinsley who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Salmiyah Power's Jussef Ben Mami was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ismaïl Hadjadj got free with Baxter Baba in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismaïl Hadjadj in the 37th minute of play forced Australian Youth Academy's goalkeeper Baxter Baba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baxter Baba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismaïl Hadjadj, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carmichael Tinsley in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jussef Ben Mami prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Samir Abdenouz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baxter Baba having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carmichael Tinsley stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Munir Abdallah kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Salmiyah Power's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Ben Minton scored to the left of an out of position Jussef Ben Mami, making the score, 3-2. In the 57th minute Munir Abdallah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baxter Baba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Salmiyah Power's Samir Abdenouz got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Boughera Benmabrouk kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dakota Gaffigan during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Salmiyah Power's Halim Zeghdoud was substituted for Zoheir Cohen. Dakota Gaffigan kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Salmiyah Power's goal looked a bit too open when Carmichael Tinsley came free, but Jussef Ben Mami reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carmichael Tinsley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jussef Ben Mami read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Salmiyah Power's Fadhil Meniri got a free kick in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Munir Abdallah in the 84th minute of play forced Australian Youth Academy's goalkeeper Baxter Baba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baxter Baba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samir Abdenouz in the 86th minute of play. In the 88th minute Ismaïl Hadjadj shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baxter Baba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute Munir Abdallah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baxter Baba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baxter Baba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fadhil Meniri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Australian Youth Academy's Baxter Baba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Munir Abdallah in the 93rd minute of play. Despite being the better team, Salmiyah Power failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
