In the 4th minute, Ernst Burman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Bertil Lindholm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Djurgården United's supporters rose to their feet, but Bertil Lindholm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brian Hammarberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brian Hammarberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sonny Njurenius in the 13th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Ernst Burman made a precise shot to the right of Brian Hammarberg. Snedspark IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Ernst Burman managed to get in a good position for a shot. When Sonny Njurenius came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Djurgården United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sonny Njurenius couldn't finish the play. Snedspark IF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Sonny Njurenius scored to the left of an out of position Brian Hammarberg, making the score, 3-0. After 37 minutes of play, Djurgården United's Sonny Njurenius made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brian Hammarberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Snedspark IF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Sonny Njurenius scored to the left of an out of position Brian Hammarberg, making the score, 5-0. Snedspark IF's Brian Hammarberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Snedspark IF from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Djurgården United's Karl-Axel Dalström got a free kick in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sonny Njurenius made a kick off. Marcus Vennerkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Åke Qvalfeldt having to interfere. After 52 played minutes Djurgården United got a freekick which was hit by Sverker Mossberg. Marcus Vennerkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Karl-Åke Qvalfeldt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 58 minutes of play, Djurgården United's Sonny Njurenius made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brian Hammarberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! 61 minutes into the game, Bertil Lindholm cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Brian Hammarberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sonny Njurenius in the 65th minute of play forced Snedspark IF's goalkeeper Brian Hammarberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Sonny Njurenius had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Brian Hammarberg. Snedspark IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sonny Njurenius was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sonny Njurenius in the 68th minute of play forced Snedspark IF's goalkeeper Brian Hammarberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sonny Njurenius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Marcus Vennerkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 74 played minutes Djurgården United got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Ove Axelsson. Djurgården United's Karl-Åke Qvalfeldt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Hjeltman in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Snedspark IF's goalkeeper Brian Hammarberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 78th minute Bertil Lindholm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brian Hammarberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bertil Lindholm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brian Hammarberg having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Tomas Andreasson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bertil Lindholm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Brian Hammarberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Snedspark IF getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Ragnar Dahlqvist hit a great ball.
