Spectators: 154 (Terracing: 116, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gottfrid Eriksson started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Edvin Walroth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dan Palmquist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lars Nordmark in the 7th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Djurgården IF's zone, Kent Wik stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dan Palmquist came out of the goal and Kent Wik tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 12 minutes into the match, Djurgården IF's goalkeeper Dan Palmquist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lars Nordmark. Djurgården IF's Dan Palmquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Ahlqvist in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute Lars Nordmark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Palmquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Newcastle United F.C.'s Dan Palmquist threw himself towards the right post 16 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lars Nordmark, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Dan Palmquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Nordmark, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute, Claes Grubb made a precise shot to the right of Dan Palmquist. Djurgården IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Ted Ödmann's late challenge caught a Newcastle United F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ted Ödmann helped the player get up and apologised. Ted Ödmann hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Dan Palmquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Ahlqvist in the 53rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lars Nordmark in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dan Palmquist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Djurgården IF's Dan Palmquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claes Grubb in the 57th minute of play. After 59 minutes of play, Newcastle United F.C.'s Lars Nordmark made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dan Palmquist was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bengt Arhenius took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dan Palmquist. Dan Palmquist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. In the 91st minute Lars Nordmark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Palmquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
