Gnesta Oilers's Gösta Bergqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peder Gernberg in the 2nd minute of play. Gösta Bergqvist made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Håkan Eklund sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of BK Värdsholmen booed when Gnesta Oilers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jack Bergman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gösta Bergqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peder Gernberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 8 minutes into the game, when Anders Bergqvist put in a rough tackle. After 9 played minutes Gnesta Oilers got a freekick which was hit by Anders Bergqvist. BK Värdsholmen's Roy Hamberg got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 11th minute, John Eckegren reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gösta Bergqvist. The goal made the score 1-0. Jack Bergman kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, BK Värdsholmen's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Smitt came free, but Sebastian Walroth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Gnesta Oilers booed when BK Värdsholmen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Håkan Eklund didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peder Gernberg in the 18th minute of play forced Gnesta Oilers's goalkeeper Gösta Bergqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Gnesta Oilers's Gösta Bergqvist got control of the ball when John Eckegren tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jonas Smitt was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Sakarias Hellbom managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gnesta Oilers's supporters rose to their feet, but Sakarias Hellbom was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastian Walroth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, BK Värdsholmen's Roy Hamberg got a free kick in the 54th minute. Peder Gernberg hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Gösta Bergqvist came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by BK Värdsholmen's Peder Gernberg. But to his dismay, Peder Gernberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Gösta Bergqvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Peder Gernberg's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. In the 69th minute, Åke Öman made a precise shot to the right of Gösta Bergqvist. Gnesta Oilers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. The supporters of BK Värdsholmen booed when Gnesta Oilers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rikard Östlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute, Jonny Söderman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Roger Norberg scored 4-0 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gösta Bergqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gösta Bergqvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Peder Gernberg went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score.
