If Jerry Ekström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonas Smitt during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jim Frisck couldn't finish the play. Gösta Bergqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerry Ekström in the 10th minute of play. After 11 played minutes Gnesta Oilers got a freekick which was hit by Albert Norberg. Gösta Bergqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerry Ekström, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Sofiane Charradi made in the 17th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Gnesta Oilers's Jack Bergman. Gnesta Oilers's Gösta Bergqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerry Ekström in the 26th minute of play. Gösta Bergqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Jönsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute, Robert Jönsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gösta Bergqvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 33rd minute, Sofiane Charradi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonas Smitt got free with William Lundgren in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Albert Norberg was extremely unlucky when he, in the 40th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Gösta Bergqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerry Ekström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute Jerry Ekström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gösta Bergqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomas Henriksson during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Jack Bergman made the kick off in the second half. Gnesta Oilers's Gösta Bergqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Gnesta Oilers from getting a goal against them. Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's William Lundgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jack Bergman in the 57th minute of play. With a little luck, Gnesta Oilers's Gösta Bergqvist got control of the ball when Jerry Ekström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gösta Bergqvist was a little too slow when Jim Frisck got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 0-2. Viktor Bergdal kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Jonas Smitt took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for William Lundgren. Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Sven-Edvin Lundström got a free kick in the 77th minute. Nils-Erik Lövkvist made in the 82nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Robert Jönsson. Gnesta Oilers's Gösta Bergqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Gnesta Oilers from getting a goal against them. Anders Bergqvist hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Jerry Ekström sped through Gnesta Oilers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gösta Bergqvist. With an all-out effort, Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Gösta Bergqvist threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jim Frisck, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Robert Jönsson kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Jack Bergman struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. William Lundgren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gnesta Oilers. Étoile Sportive Du Sahel played a much better game than Gnesta Oilers and deserved their victory. The Gnesta Oilers players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
