Herbert Ekegren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Gaspar Leheren made a huge save. In the 3rd minute, Sverker Åberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gaspar Leheren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herbert Ekegren, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Tommy Palm charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tommy Palm the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, BENA FK's Tommy Palm got a free kick in the 11th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Öllsjö FC's zone, Fredric Klint stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl-Magnus Högström came out of the goal and Fredric Klint tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt Felin in the 16th minute of play forced Öllsjö FC's goalkeeper Karl-Magnus Högström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Åke Fernkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. The BENA FK fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when BENA FK's Alf Lund looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 23rd minute, Gottfrid Skog hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erik Modig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Leheren having to interfere. Tommy Palm blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Karl-Magnus Högström having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Öllsjö FC's Ulrik Askberg got a free kick in the 33rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Herbert Ekegren in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaspar Leheren saved BENA FK from getting behind. After 39 played minutes Öllsjö FC got a freekick which was hit by Sverker Åberg. Gaspar Leheren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herbert Ekegren in the 44th minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Åke Fernkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Tommy Palm came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the BENA FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tommy Palm couldn't finish the play. In the 47th minute, one of Öllsjö FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Öllsjö FC. After the first half BENA FK were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fredric Klint made a kick off. Gaspar Leheren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herbert Ekegren, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörgen Dalkvist in the 62nd minute of play forced BENA FK's goalkeeper Gaspar Leheren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl-Magnus Högström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredric Klint, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gaspar Leheren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörgen Dalkvist in the 65th minute of play. 67 minutes into the game, Jörgen Dalkvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Gaspar Leheren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 70th minute, Jörgen Dalkvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Charles Soned kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After some careless play in the BENA FK defense, Jörgen Dalkvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gaspar Leheren. The BENA FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gaspar Leheren should have stopped the shot. Gottfrid Skog kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After 76 played minutes, Öllsjö FC's Kenny Törnqvist shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gaspar Leheren came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Öllsjö FC reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alf Lund got free with Karl-Magnus Högström in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gaspar Leheren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herbert Ekegren, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. A collision led to BENA FK getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Alf Lund hit a great ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
