When Örjan Nyström fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Swindon Sweden FF's protests and gave Örjan Nyström a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd match minute, Swindon Sweden FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Örjan Nyström to maneuver through the defense. Swindon Sweden FF's Örjan Nyström got his second yellow card of the match in the 5th minute. The referee ordered Örjan Nyström off the ground. After a rather tough play, Swindon Sweden FF's Örjan Nyström got a free kick in the 6th minute. After 15th play minutes Jimmy Persson shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Fredrik Almqvist and just under the crossbar into goal. Fredrik Almqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimmy Persson in the 18th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Swindon Sweden FF's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Bolin came free, but Jens-Åke Malmberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jens-Åke Malmberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sebastian Bolin's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Kennet Söderberg hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After 27 minutes Swindon Sweden FF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sebastian Bolin who took care of the corner kick. If Jimmy Persson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jimmy Persson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Fredrik Almqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Per-Erik Stål had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Bolin in the 43rd minute of play forced Swindon Sweden FF's goalkeeper Jens-Åke Malmberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Boris Möller to strike the kick off in the second half. Fredrik Almqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimmy Persson in the 52nd minute of the match. Sebastian Bolin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Jens-Åke Malmberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Bolin in the 64th minute of play forced Swindon Sweden FF's goalkeeper Jens-Åke Malmberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute Sebastian Bolin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Åke Malmberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fredrik Almqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Allbom, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 68th minute Maxen Widenborg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredrik Almqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 70 minutes of play, Swindon Sweden FF's Per-Erik Stål made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fredrik Almqvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Boris Möller managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mellansels stationsgäng's supporters rose to their feet, but Boris Möller was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jens-Åke Malmberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fredrik Almqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per-Erik Stål, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. A collision led to Mellansels stationsgäng getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Boris Möller hit a great ball. Fredrik Almqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimmy Persson in the 89th minute of the match. When Jimmy Persson came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Swindon Sweden FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jimmy Persson couldn't finish the play. Per-Erik Stål might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fredrik Almqvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Per-Erik Stål ran back to his position shaking his head. There was no doubt that Swindon Sweden FF were the better team. Swindon Sweden FF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
