FF Små Gröna Män's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bertil Sandell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, FF Små Gröna Män's goal looked a bit too open when Alfons Hurtig came free, but John Wahlnäs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. John Wahlnäs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfons Hurtig in the 15th minute of play. John Wahlnäs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerry Bengtsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, FF Små Gröna Män's goal looked a bit too open when Alfons Hurtig came free, but John Wahlnäs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bertil Sandell in the 23rd minute of play forced FF Små Gröna Män's goalkeeper John Wahlnäs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Alfons Hurtig sped through FF Små Gröna Män's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of John Wahlnäs. John Wahlnäs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrik Beneth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FF Små Gröna Män's John Wahlnäs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfons Hurtig in the 43rd minute of play. The supporters of FC Hamneskär booed when FF Små Gröna Män was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig-Arne Tidéksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 46 minutes into the match, FF Små Gröna Män's goal looked a bit too open when Oswaldo Velasco came free, but John Wahlnäs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half FC Hamneskär were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Sven-Ove Åström made the kick off in the second half. After 56 minutes of play, FC Hamneskär's Alfons Hurtig made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. John Wahlnäs was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Jerry Bengtsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bertil Sandell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfons Hurtig got free with John Wahlnäs in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jerry Bengtsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oswaldo Velasco's late challenge caught a FF Små Gröna Män's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oswaldo Velasco helped the player get up and apologised. In the 77th minute of the match Svante Blom shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rickard Falkrans showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. John Wahlnäs made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Alfons Hurtig sent off a good shot on target. John Wahlnäs didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bertil Sandell went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. If Alfons Hurtig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FF Små Gröna Män's John Wahlnäs proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save FF Små Gröna Män from getting a goal against them. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind FF Små Gröna Män's goalkeeper John Wahlnäs, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 89th minute, Valter Abrahamsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Patrik Beneth managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Hamneskär's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrik Beneth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. John Wahlnäs breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over FC Hamneskär could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FF Små Gröna Män throughout the match.
