After a defensive mix-up in Bearnaise EA's zone, Jens-Ola Strömbom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kennet Lagerberg came out of the goal and Jens-Ola Strömbom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12thth minute of the game Dennis Jacobsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bearnaise EA's Kennet Lagerberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bearnaise EA's Kennet Lagerberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Bearnaise EA from getting a goal against them. Kennet Lagerberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens-Ola Strömbom in the 23rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alex Nordström got free with Kennet Lagerberg in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 26th minute, Bearnaise EA's Urban Ahlroth seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Urban Ahlroth the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Bearnaise EA protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Urban Ahlroth had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 27 minutes into the game, Axel Samuelsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Kennet Lagerberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alex Nordström got free with Kennet Lagerberg in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 35 played minutes Bearnaise EA got a freekick which was hit by Michel Byström. Bearnaise EA's Kennet Lagerberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Nordström in the 37th minute of play. In the 43rd match minute, Golden Lions FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carolus Rex to maneuver through the defense. Jesper Tomasson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrik Hjortsberg in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Alex Nordström fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Kennet Lagerberg, passed just outside the right post. In the 45th minute Alex Nordström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kennet Lagerberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maria Jacobsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kennet Lagerberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maria Jacobsson ran back to his position shaking his head. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jan-Olof Alin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Bearnaise EA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bo-Erik Melin to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Golden Lions FC's Axel Samuelsson tried to score from far away in the 53rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 57thth minute of the game Alex Nordström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bearnaise EA's Kennet Lagerberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alex Nordström hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. When Alex Nordström got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Golden Lions FC. With a little luck, Golden Lions FC's Jesper Tomasson got control of the ball when Jan-Olof Alin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carl Holmgren charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carl Holmgren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Golden Lions FC's Jan-Erik Lind was substituted for Leif Västlund. A collision led to Golden Lions FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Jens-Ola Strömbom hit a great ball. Kennet Lagerberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maria Jacobsson in the 71st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Nordström in the 87th minute of play forced Bearnaise EA's goalkeeper Kennet Lagerberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Bearnaise EA's goal looked a bit too open when Maria Jacobsson came free, but Kennet Lagerberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Bearnaise EA players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Golden Lions FC.
