Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ingvar Sundström kicked off to start the match. Sebastian Axelsson came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Brothers of Mercy's Ulf Öfverman. But to his dismay, Ulf Öfverman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ulf Öfverman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sebastian Axelsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Bengt-Rune Strömbom notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Golden Lions FC's Sebastian Axelsson. Sebastian Axelsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sebastian Axelsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulf Öfverman, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Bengt-Åke Dahlberg hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Ulf Öfverman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brothers of Mercy's supporters rose to their feet, but Ulf Öfverman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastian Axelsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ulf Öfverman kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Ingvar Sundström who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Alexandre Pires when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingvar Sundström in the 22nd minute of play forced Brothers of Mercy's goalkeeper Alexandre Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastian Axelsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt-Rune Strömbom in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Brothers of Mercy's Ulf Öfverman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sebastian Axelsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 30 minutes into the match, Brothers of Mercy's goalkeeper Alexandre Pires had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ingvar Sundström. Sebastian Axelsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulf Öfverman, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ulf Öfverman in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastian Axelsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nils-Erik Gustafsson made in the 38th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Bengt-Åke Dahlberg. Jörn Matsson charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jörn Matsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bengt-Rune Strömbom was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Bengt-Rune Strömbom cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Sebastian Axelsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Brothers of Mercy's Mats Elg got a free kick in the 54th minute. With a little luck, Golden Lions FC's Sebastian Axelsson got control of the ball when Ulf Öfverman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ulf Öfvermans short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Sebastian Axelsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alexandre Pires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingvar Sundström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ulf Öfverman had several of the Golden Lions FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 64 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-6 score and a disappointed Sebastian Axelsson as he didn't even see the shot coming. 69 minutes into the match, Brothers of Mercy's goal looked a bit too open when Allan Rudqvist came free, but Alexandre Pires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bengt-Rune Strömbom could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Sebastian Axelsson made a huge save. In the 73rd minute, Christian Thorsberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastian Axelsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulf Öfverman, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ulf Öfverman in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastian Axelsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 79 minutes into the game, one of Golden Lions FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Alexandre Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allan Rudqvist in the 85th minute of play. 89 minutes into the game, Ulf Öfverman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sebastian Axelsson. Ulf Öfverman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. Brothers of Mercy's Alexandre Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Nordström in the 92nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Golden Lions FC's Alfred Sandberg got a free kick in the 97th minute. When the match was over Brothers of Mercy could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Golden Lions FC throughout the match.
