The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vali Ştefănică during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 6th match minute, The Huns was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vali Ştefănică to maneuver through the defense. The Huns's Martin Pânzaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panait Dobrescu in the 7th minute of play. A collision led to The Huns getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Hunor Corvin hit a great ball. Calistrat Vulcan struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Iurie Ogășanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Huns. 16 minutes into the match, The Huns's goal looked a bit too open when Panait Dobrescu came free, but Martin Pânzaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aristide Stroe's late challenge caught a FC Urzicuța's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aristide Stroe helped the player get up and apologised. After 21 played minutes The Huns got a freekick which was hit by Aristide Stroe. Mihnea Necșulescu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Martin Pânzaru. The Huns's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Iurie Ogășanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Petruț Răduleț in the 26th minute. Remus Bucuță received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Iurie Ogășanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

FC Urzicuța's Panait Dobrescu got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iurie Ogășanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remus Bucuță in the 58th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the game, The Huns's Remus Bucuță nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iurie Ogășanu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. When Remus Bucuță fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Huns's protests and gave Remus Bucuță a yellow card for diving instead. After 75th play minutes Robert Bot shot 4-1, a short shot which went by Iurie Ogășanu and just under the crossbar into goal. Iurie Ogășanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remus Bucuță, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Remus Bucuță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Urzicuța's supporters crossed their fingers, but Panait Dobrescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. The Huns fully deserved thier win.
